The Boathouse is a favourite spot of mine, perfectly situated on Pittwater with the most divine view. The casual white wood interior is enhanced by the ever changing flower arrangements and creative display of fruit and vegetables. The weekend is always super busy so go in a patient frame of mind and grab a bench out front under the umbrella’s and let someone else line up to order!!

The breakfast menu runs until 12 then the lunch starts with last orders at 3 ( closed for dinner). If you go for breakfast I suggest making it a champagne breakfast and bring your own bubbles and munch on the Avocado Toast. Stacked high with avocado , crispy bacon, rye toast and topped with a tomato salsa is totally delicious! For lunch you cant go past the fish n’ chips but the seafood plate and salt n’ pepper calamari are also winners.

This cafe would be my canteen if I lived close enough but unfortunately I have to wait for the weekends to get my healthy chef fix. Just off Barrenjoey Rd this cafe is a mix of locals and day trippers wanting a feed of healthy fare. The menu has been designed for optimum health, all food is low GI and high in protein. Some of my favourites are the hubby special, detox salad, d-stress smoothie and the Campo’s coffee is always good.

Rockabilly meets Argentinian BBQ is the vibe at this restaurant and bar. Arched alcoves,checkered floor and a open BBQ pit give the interior an authentic latin aesthetic . This restaurant is perfect for a celebration or a fun night out with a group of friends. The more the merrier as this menu is designed to share and you want to try every thing. You must start with the house pate, empanadas, and eggplant salad. I suggest going for the 6pm sitting in fear the 8hr pork and lamb will sell out! All meat is served with chimichurri and Argentinian salsa, and believe me the brussel sprouts are a must . Wash it all down with a Banana Old Fashioned….. salud!
